MontSaintMichel.com exists because the Mont is easy to romanticise and hard to plan. We publish tide tools, abbey logistics, and field-tested guides—then show our working.
Our mission
We help visitors answer practical questions first: Can I reach the village at high tide? How much is the abbey in October? Where does the shuttle stop? Is the tide calendar official? (It is not—and we say so loudly on our methodology page.)
Experience, expertise, authority, trust (E-E-A-T)
- Experience: Guides written for real trips—stairs, queues, Nomad connections, not brochure prose.
- Expertise: Cross-check against Centre des monuments nationaux, montsaintmichel.gouv.fr, SNCF, and regional operators.
- Authority: Transparent tide model, dated updates, links to primary sources on every guide.
- Trust: Dated updates, primary-source links, and clear corrections when facts change.
